Kansas City Chiefs win at the 2020 Super Bowl
The super bowl 2020 which was to determine the winner of 2019 season was played on February 2nd, 2020. The match was between the Kansas Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Miami Gardens Florida at the stadium Hard Rock. The San Francisco 49ers coach was Kyle Shanahan and the Kansas chiefs were brought to the final by Coach Andy Reid while the match official was Bill Vinovich. The game experienced one of the highest numbers of viewers and fans with the stadium attendance capacity being counted up to 62,417. The final was one of the most viewed with the commercial cost of half an hour being very high. The game was announced in a number of radio networks in the US and could be viewed on the Fox TV network.
The match was one of the underdogs and the giants where the San Francisco 49ers had won 5 of the super bowls games and the Chiefs have won none. The Chiefs were about to change the history of its team with Patrick Mahome, the star Quarterback. The Chiefs had not been in the super bowl in 5 decades but exuded confidence as they had been in all of them which made them pull a win of 31-20 on the Sunday thriller. This was the shocker and thrilling part as the 49ers were the favorites and even proved as they controlled the ball more during the game.
The 49ers were the champions of the NFC league proving that their defense is one not to mess with while the Chiefs were the champions of the AFC league proving once again that their offense led by Patrick Mahomes is one of the best.
The anticipated game started with a special dedication to the 100 best players of the game and the best 10 coaches to commemorate the 100th season of the great game. This was shortly followed by breathtaking performances by Gospel sensation Yolanda Adams and pop artist Demi Lovato who sang God Bless America and the National Anthem respectively before the game officially kicked off.
The game looked good for the 49ers that controlled most of the game. The Chiefs were not as comfortable and had not found their rhythm and often fell prey to the defensive front of the 49ers. The Chiefs play took an expected turn when they were 10 points down with 5 minutes of playtime.
At the 30 minutes of playtime, the game was tight with both teams tied at 10-10. The players and the crowd were entertained with an exhilarating performance by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez and a Bad Bunny who showed their Latin origins with impressive dance moves and angelic voices in an anticipated half time performance that will be remembered for decades. It was also followed by a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant.
Mahomes was named the youngest MVP at 24 was the man to watch as he steered his teammates into a long-awaited win, a 50-year wait. His skills and that of the Chiefs defense made impressive plays to challenge the 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo who made several bad plays that cost them their 10 point lead.
The 32 point lead was due to 4 touchdowns and became the first team in NFL history to win a game while they are 10 points down. Mahomes led the team to victory when he managed to shake off the failure of two interceptions to then pull three touchdowns with just 5 minutes of game time left.

The 54th Super Bowl has a lot of significance; it's even the final game of the NFL's 100th season. San Francisco hasn't won a Super Bowl in 25 years, while you can double that number for the Chiefs. I have been waiting for all of those years LOL

The first of Mahome's magic began when he threw the ball to Tarvarius Moore that passed behind Tyreek Hill to earn 17 points. The second play happened when Mahomes threw the ball and was caught by Travis Kelce in the end zone making the score 24-10. The last of the impressive run happened when the field General threw an impressive ball to Damien Williams with only 5 yards of field to the end zone which was quite controversial and resulted to many replays and a review from the game officials who gave it a go-ahead despite many claiming that he was out of bounds even before his foot touched the end zone line.
24-year-old Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead score, as Kansas City's defense held San Francisco scoreless over the final 15 minutes.
Mahomes kept finding ways when ways didn’t seem possible as he delivered one of the bigger Super Bowl comebacks and Kansas City’s first championship in half a century.
Mahomes is the son of a major baseball player, Mahomes remained humble throughout the victory which many accredited to his sportsmanship. Some people think that if he had gotten his groove from the game's beginning, the score margin would have been impressive but a win is still a win no matter how little it is.
The 49ers defense took a turn for the worst as the game neared the end. The defensive side fell prey to the Chief's offensive front giving them a win. After the game, the 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo said it was a hard game to play. This comes after both quarterbacks were victims of bad interceptions. The coach of the 49ers said that his whole team is disappointed about the loss and that they did their best despite the strong offensive side of the Chiefs. They still congratulated them on their win.

Damien Williams added a touchdown with 1:12 to play just for an extra bit of good measure, ensuring the victory for the AFC champions as they played in their first Super Bowl in 50 years.
Mahomes completed 26 of the possible 41 passes and also has two touchdowns as well as two interceptions that awarded him the man of the game. The 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 20 of his 31 passes for a touchdown and two interceptions.
The whole game has one moral lesson, which you should never give up even if you are down and the clock is ticking showing that you are running out of time. You only need a little push to get you going, the Chiefs attribute that little push to the Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs (15-4) were playing in the championship game for the first time since 1970 when they won their only previous NFL title. Coach Andy Reid earned his 222nd career victory and his first in a Super Bowl.
