"The best way to predict your future is to create it." -- Stephen Covey, Educator Author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
You are in charge of your own future. It sounds straightforward, but it's not. There are several detours on the way. And you may not find yourself wherever you thought you would be. You may be somewhere better.
You will have the most control over your life if you plan it. Without coming up with a plan you are a ship without a rudder. You are a plane without a flight plan. You will just wander around aimlessly without any destination in mind. Planning is the key to predicting your future.
Where do you need to be in 10 years? To get there, what do you need to accomplish this year? And from what you need to accomplish this year, what do you need to do this month? And what do you need to do this week to accomplish your monthly goal? Which brings us to today; what do you need to do today to make that weekly goal a reality?
It all really comes right down to what you need to do TODAY. Today is where it's at. What you are doing today will determine what you will do tomorrow and next week. You need to take action today, not tomorrow. Starting with today is the beginning of your created future.
Each task you are doing on a daily basis has a purpose - it gets you nearer or further away from your goals. You must only do things that get you closer to your goals and dreams. Everything else takes you further away. You know what those tasks are. I want you to concentrate on those goal-achieving tasks each day. You are the future you create!
